Ordered one of these ESC's after hearing good reviews about them and was impressed by the quality and the fact that my motor is so much quicker and responsive now, so had to get more to replace the previous ESC's I had
Tried a few of the lower price point Brushed ESC's. Some burned out quick, some had safety issues, some didn't deliver the power stated by a long way. I tried these quick runs and have since bought 7 to replace all the ones I had, plus two 880 models for duel motor control. They are fantastic, I am using them outside of their design parameters and they are working just fine and dandy, no issues after 2 months of hammering.

HW30120000 is rated at 25 amps, this 1060 is rated at 60 amps. There's no harm in using a bigger ESC, as they will only supply what the motor is drawing. Provided you can fit the larger model in your chassis it will be fine.

Yes, that would work fine with that motor.
You may however want to look at a specific crawler ESC such as HW30112750 for more crawler specific features.

These wouldn't normally need a fan in most conditions - but any fan aimed at it would help airflow

You could use this esc but you would need a more modern receiver which takes the power from the esc.
