Will it work with a tamiya
Asked by Kev on 27th May 2019

Sure... it would work with pretty much any car. You will however need to ensure your ESC and charger support LiPo batteries.

I have accidentally bought this for an RC plane, will it still work for an flight ESC that matches its specifications?
Asked by Christian on 11th November 2019

Yes, should still work fine - so long as it's not too heavy

I own a FTX Brushed Bugsta, would a lipo batt go straight on? What are the benefits? Thanks
Asked by Darrell on 3rd November 2020

Yes it will connect up - you may however want to change your ESC connector to deans. Also make sure to set the lipo cut-off on your ESC

Would this suit as an upgrade for a HPI Maverick ION? Would I need to change the connector? Or can you recommend a better charger for the standard Maverick batteries please?
Asked by Tom on 3rd December 2020

No, this won't fit the Ion's I'm afraid - it's way too big.

With regard to a charger for the Ion's nimh battery - we use NX84 or ET0208 with an ET0821 adapter.

Will this battery fit a tamiya racing fighter?
Asked by Leon Tatam on 3rd January 2021

I'd stick to round case batteries in that, eg C-49440

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Would this battery suit a replacement for a 7.2V NiMh ?
Asked by Andy on 8th June 2022

It would fit fine as long as the esc is lipo capable and in lipo mode also you would need a lipo charger.
