The Swift was an early 19th century Virginia pilot boat. Light-weight and over powered twin master ship, it safely guided largest incoming vessels into port. In short, these types of boats were used to guide large ships in and out of ports. In this case, they helped those on the North American East Coast because they were easy to manoeuvre, fast and light.

Pilot boats technical features let the great naval powers of the time to enlarge them creating the famous Baltimore Clippers class. That is why it was an obligation that the scale model or replica that we offer you existed.
