HOBAO HYPER CAGE TRUGGY ELECTRIC ROLLER CHASSIS - BLACK

Looking for something different to stand out from the crowd? HoBao’s Hyper Cage Truggy electric roller provides you with a unique, aggressive looking chassis ready to accept your choice of electric power.

Using the SS chassis platform and suspension the Cage truggy features a complete aluminium roll cage similar to some of todays single seater full size buggies. Performance is everything you come to expect from HoBao with the quality and ruggeddesign ideal for the demands of 1/8 off road. Despite its complex appearance the lightweight and impact resistant aluminium tubler cage can be hinged forward quickly with the simple removal of four screws providing quick access to thechassis and electric components.

As an electric rolling chassis you are free to decide what electronic package is best for you and your budget. Underneath the roll cage you will find a chassis that can accommodate most of todays current crop of high performance brushless motors, speed controllers and LiPo batteries. The moulded battery tray features three quick release velcro straps perfect for 2S, 3S and 4S packs. Colour coded, anodised aluminium chassisparts complement the roll cage assembly for an eye catching look. The newly designed front C-Hub suspension assembly, 3-differential driveline and 17mm big bore shocks soak up all that is in their path.

Well I like this, but it would have been nice to know the wheel size is not the same as 1/8 buggies. I like to swap wheels round. The model does NOT have disc brakes .. thats for the nitro version; the servo mount is very tight, i had to modify mine to make a savox fit. if you are buying a servo, choose a 'slim' one. It comes with servo horn, and everything except servo, motor, esc and radio. There is plenty of space for electrics. The pinion is 14T. Build seems good, but i wish they wouldn't keep making the centre diffs with plastic bodies; do too much spinning and they overheat and blow out. This seems standard on this price point models, pity. Change the diff case to metal immediately and save yourself a set of gears. As usual with the Chinese/Japanese models, the instructions are useless, just an exploded diagram of the bits. Overall I like this to add to my fleet, Im glad i purchased it, but i wouldn't have it as my only buggy/truggy. Arrma typon 6s remains my favourite.

What is the top speed?
Asked by Nathan on 5th August 2017
That would depend on what electronics you installed.

What would be the recommended motor and esc
Asked by Dan on 14th December 2017

That depends on budget... We'd ideally go for something like the Castle 2200 system P-CC010-0145-01

This requires all electronics to complete - so radio gear, servo, motor, ESC, battery, charger, etc.

Does it come with a remote?
Asked by Bilal on 17th June 2018

No, this is rolling chassis only - so no electronics.
