Will this engine work in the HSP Flying Fish that comes with a Vertex 18 motor. If not, what will work to increase speed of the car? Thanks, Greg

This is a 12 size engine, whilst it would fit in the car you have it would not be better that the 18 you have in the car already.

Any small block with a 12 - 18 engine and side exit exhaust would fit that car.

If you have the optional engine mount (now discontinued) which mounted on the flanges, rather than bolting directly in from underneath the chassis - then yes you could probably get one of these to fit.

Will a 2 speed gear set fit on it ?

That depends on your car... but yes - a 2 speed clutch bell is usually the same fitment as a single speed

Hi does this engine have a oval shape manifold that 2 screws are needed to screw threw to the exhaust manifold ?
