will this steering servo fit my original hyper 7

Yes, however you'd want to go for something stronger in a Hyper 7.... More torque and metal geared would be better.

Yes any standard size servo would fit... A decent upgrade would be say SW0231MG or ET0012 as a more budget option.

Something like HD-1812MG or SW0231MG would be a great upgrade

You'll get stronger steering response and more longevity from a stronger servo with metal gears (as opposed to plastic here)

Yes that would work fine. It's a basic servo, so for stronger braking force you might want to look at something better say HD-1812MG or SAV-SC0352
