Does this fit in the original DX8 (gen1) silver version, and can it be charged using the original DX8 charger that came with the unit. currently have a 2000mah 4.8v NiMH pack which is needing replaced

Yes this will work in that handset, you would need to go in to the menu and change the type of battery, then the original power supply will still work to charge it.

If this is for the original DX7 it has an 8cell Nimh battery 9.6v so no will not fit

No that is the smart charger ( does not have 4mm bullets for the lead )

something like ET0202 would work with the SPM6834 lead

Once plugged into a transmitter, you'd use SPM9551 on the charge port

Or, to charge with a normal lipo charge you could use the lead SPM6834

You can charge this with any LiOn charger and the charge lead SPM6834

A decent charger would be say ET0202

Yes, that would charge this with a suitable adapter lead. Note, this isn't a SMART battery, so you would need to manually set the charge to LiOn, etc.
