The motor works very well, but it only runs on 2-3 S Li-PO . I tried using it on my nimh 6s accumulator and if I tried to full throttle it, it just shut down, or it would run very slowly and a red led blinked.

Could I run an 11.1v 3S Lipo on this if programmed correctly?
Asked by Felix on 5th July 2017

Ideally, no.

Yes it will work with 3S however you will need to be extremely wary of motor temp. If I was running 3s I would want to run 60 or 80amp esc not a 45amp

can i replace the brushed motor and esc in my ftx carnage for this one?
Asked by Joshua on 1st December 2018

Yes, this would fit your Carnage, however it's a touch high on KV for a model of that weight. We'd recommend a lower KV motor and/or checking your gearing is appropriate to avoid overheating.

Hi, I looking to upgrade a dhk wolf (raz wheels) and ftx carnage to brushless, could you recommend some appropriate esc and motor combinations. Regards, james PS I would prefer the two models performance to align as far a possible.
Asked by James Stewart on 16th January 2019

ET0416 would be OK as a basic system.

For something better take a look at say HW38010200 or P-CC010-0123-02

Asked by Mike on 17th November 2020

I'd look at the 60A in that
