Desert trucks and buggies are all the rage. Racing across sand dunes and open plains with the foot to the floor in an over powered vehicle sounds like fun. Well Carisma have put together they’re own take on this new craze with the M40DT Desert Truck. Modelled around the entry level M40 4wd shaft driven chassis platform, the M40DT is an all terrain vehicle ready to tackle anything.
Carisma have produced an awesome scale finished bodyshell that mixes matt body sections with gloss. This costly and time consuming process leaves an unusual look not seen on many models before and really provides some added realism. Front bumper lights and roof lights (that can have optional LED’s fitted) along with twin rear mounted spare tyres finish off the M40DT.
Underneath the 4wd chassis features full ball bearings and oil filled shock absorbers. Differentials use full metal gears so that they can handle the brushless power from the 540-size 3000kv motor. The brushless speed control, steering servo and receiver are all water resistant.
Control is from Carisma’s own 2.4ghz radio system and XT-60 high voltage battery connectors are included to use on your choice of battery power (Ready set version).
