Hi there interested in buying my son either the FTX carnage or hooligan. Are they ready to use straight from the box after running in?
Just I've seen some tutorials on YouTube setting them up and tuning engines.
Any advice would be great

Yes - these are ready to run-in straight from the box. Running a nitro does involve a learning curve, and understanding the basics of how to start, run and tune a nitro engine. But that's half the fun!
They will require some tuning during and after the running-in process - but as you mention, there are many useful videos on the manufacturer websites and youtube to assist you in this process.
