I just built a Tamiya lunchbox. I'm having issue with the teu-101bk esc bleeping and not being programmable. I've checked all the wiring everything seems ok. I do have steering in channel one and when I swap the motor into this channel 1 from channel 2 the throttle works fine too. I suspecting the issue may be with the hitec hp-2rnb receiver channel 2. As a newbie to rc cars my question is is it possible to just swap out the receiver without the servo and keep the same hitec ranger receiver for a receiver like this one or is it best I replace the receiver and handset together? Many thanks. Ben

Yes, you can swap out the receiver and replace it with a compatible one if that's where you think the problem lies.

Will this work on a Tamiya racing fighter kit and will take a standard Crystal?
Asked by Nathan on 6th January 2021

These are 2.4Ghz - they don't take a crystal. They will work fine in that model, if you have a Hitec  2.4Ghz transmitter
