1:700 IJN Heavy Cruiser Kinugasa - Full Hull Special
Kinugasa was a trendsetting design for the IJN. She was the first IJN vessel to be fitted with an aircraft catapult. From her commissioning in 1927 to mid-1942, Kinugasa was virtually untouched in battle-coming through ferocious fights with mere scratches. In October of '42, however, Kinugasa's luck changed. At Esperance she was struck four times by shells. Then, at Guadalcanal, accurate aircraft bombing killed her Captain and XO before knocking out the engines and rudder. Just before midnight on 14th November, Kinugasa capsized and sank.
