How do your sizes of rubber bands run? For example, is an 8 inch band 8inches in circumference or diameter?

That's the diameter measurement.

I have an Arising Star Trainer plane and the wing securing pegs are 12 inches apart. Will the 8 inch bands stretch enough or will I need 10inch? Cheers
