Pushing Back the Boundaries
This R/C model assembly kit creates the 2 belt-driven 4WD TRF420, the latest carbon fiber double-deck model in the thoroughbred line of TRF chassis. Race feedback was instrumental in its design, which features brand new arm and upright components, plus new suspension mounts which use plastic bushings for shafts that allow 5 different treads (and roll center settings). Motor position is now 1.5mm further forward and 1mm inside, further optimizing the chassis' balance as a whole, and parts in the updated steering bridge can be changed to tweak the steering setup. In the drivetrain, a lighter 37T gear differential design maintains the same oil capacity as predecessors, while new double cardan universal shafts bring stable corners and next-level speed. Body mounts now offer a choice between standard and 2mm forward body hole positions.

- Switch parts in the steering bridge to alter the TRF420's Ackerman geometry and fine-tune your car's performance.


- Dedicated front (universal) and rear drive shaft designs contribute to the chassis' stable cornering.


- Suspension arms feature dedicated hub carriers that have been redesigned so as to provide even more durability.

- This image is a close-up on the aluminum servo mount, with a floating outer edge to minimize roll impact.


- At the rear of the chassis is a 37T gear differential unit, which has been lightened without reducing oil capacity.


- Arms use bushings to allow (with separately sold bushing) easy switching between three damper positions.


- Left: The two black plastic bushings shown here can be exchanged for others to give a whole range of tread and roll center settings.

- Right: Dedicated body mount designs let you choose between two body positions: standard and 2mm further forward, putting you in control.
