Hi there. I am thinking of getting into helicopters after learning on planes. I am interested in a blade 230s as they were recommended by a friend as a good starting point. I have 3s 2200 lipos already. Will they fit a blade 230s or will I have to get more batteries and how much are they? Also would you agree that this is a good starter heli for outdoors or would there be others I should consider? Regards Dave
Asked by David Lewis on 3rd May 2021

The 230S is challenging - but in a good way. It would be fine for a novice if you have some sticktime on a simulator and are prepared to put in some hours - it'll grow with you.

2200s are too big - these take around 800/850mah batteries eg SPMX8503S30

Is blade 230 with tx is it changeable to mode 1
Asked by John Spallen on 18th March 2023

This is a BNF ( bind and fly ) helicopter so it does not come with a transmitter .
