how many amps does the JP Power Torque II 12v Starter Motor use , at full speed ? How long can it be run at that speed ? Thanks Peter
Asked by Peter Thys on 18th February 2017
Apologies but we don't have that information... These are a generic starter motor ideal for nitro engines. Constant use (say over 60 seconds or so) would not really be recommended.

Hi, does this motor come with a switch? And could a variable speed switch be fitted to it? Thanks, Allan
Asked by Allan Mackinnon on 13th August 2018

The switch is combined into the handle on these, so it spins as you squeeze.

Hmm, you'd need to lower the voltage to change the speed - either through some kind of voltage regulator or ESC....

Is the engine starter compatable to start a small nitro engine on a trainer plane. INFORMATION REQUIRED BEFORE I BUY ONE.
Asked by Francis Coogans on 10th April 2019

Yes, these would normally be used to start nitro engines in planes.
