No these are automatic setup. Just ensure your trims are neutral and end points are set to 100% if available.

In the second image at you can see the connectors - red/black on the tamiya connector to the battery and then red/blue to your brushed motor

Can you use 2s or 3s lipo batteries on these?

This ESC does not have a lipo cut off so we would not advise using lipo with this ESC

This is 50 amp esc so it depends what the motor you are going to use it with is rated at.
