Would this model fit the traxxas slash?
Asked by William on 11th June 2017

Yes it will fit, however we'd recommend a lower KV for a Slash.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Could I put this in my maverick strada xb?
Asked by James Churchill on 25th July 2017
It would fit, however it's a little underpowered.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Will this be a good combo for an anesmann magnum which does go off-road. Or would it be better for a 1/10th tamiya touring car da03
Asked by Gareth on 15th October 2017

This is ideally suited to 1:10 touring cars.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

would this fit bsd prime assault? would this fit ftx viper? would this fit Trooper Pro Edition SCT?
Asked by Ellis on 9th April 2018

This is a standard 1:10 scale system. The only model from your list we sell is the FTX Viper, which I can confirm this would physcially fit - however it's  bit underpowered.

Hi WSM Will this motor/esc combo be ok for my HPI Firestorm (currently brushed) ? Best Regards Jorgen from Denmark
Asked by Jorgen Halvorsen on 29th May 2018

Hmm, it's more suited to lighter vehicles.

For that truck we'd start with say ET0430

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

would this be ok in my ftx carnage? if not what one would?
Asked by Stephen on 27th December 2018

We'd probably go for a lower KV such as the ET0420

As with any motor/ESC setup, always keep an eye on temperature and gear accordingly.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi I have a hsp xstr off road buggy looking to upgrade motor and esc to brushless is there any good recommendation for this please? Also do I need a programming card or do they not need programming thanks in advance.
Asked by Daniel Hayes on 16th February 2019

We don't sell HSP so it's difficult for us to advise fully, however if your car takes standard 540 size motors (which is likely) then yes - this should fit.

As with any motor upgrade, it's important to keep an eye on temperatures and gear accordingly to avoid damage.

This combo comes with a program card.

Looking for a budget brushless set up for my rustler xl5. I feel I need more speed both off the mark and top end. not looking to beat any land speed records but I do want the increase in speed to be quite drastic. Minimum of 15mph Would be great but more the better. also need lipo and charger. Waterproof would be a bonus but not essential. Cheers
Asked by Brett Wilding on 26th February 2019

This will fit, but you would need to keep an eye on motor and ESC temperatures and gear accordingly.

A decent LiPo battery and charger without breaking the bank would be VZ0317 and ET0225

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hello, I’m new in this “toys” I well buy this combo and I like to now what kind of lipo can I get to¿ ET0422 Combo
Asked by Bruno on 29th May 2019

We'd reccomend a 2S LiPo. Something like VZ0317 would be ideal

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

How would this set up perform in a stampede with 3s lipo.
Asked by Chris on 18th November 2019

The stampede is a bit heavy for this, especially on 3S. You'd need to be looking at a much higher rated system to run 3S in that, something like perhaps HW38010200

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi could you please tell me if this ESC comes with deans and bullet connectors already fitted to ESC and MOTOR bullets . many thanks Mike
Asked by Mike on 29th January 2020

The motor has bullets on it, but they do not come with a battery connector.

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Is this faster than FTC carnage brushed motor
Asked by Ollie Tyacke on 20th April 2020

Yes this is a brushless upgrade

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi I’m looking for a brushless upgrade for my ftx kanyon would this motor be any good for it ?
Asked by Richard on 17th July 2020

This would be too powerful, you would need the Hobbywing Axe system.

Answered by: Anthony @ Wheelspin Models

Hi I am looking to replace the brushed motor in my traxxas 2wd rustler model number 37054-1 with a brushless with matched esc budget is around £90.00 can you recommend please. Regards Mark
Asked by Mark on 15th April 2021

This will physically fit but is probably a bit underpowered.

HW38010203 would be a better choice

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Would this work well for rally cross in a tamiya tt02?
Asked by Justin on 9th June 2021

Yes this would be spot on for that car.

Answered by: Anthony @ Wheelspin Models

Will this motor be good to replace the standard RS540 in a Tamiya Dark Impact?
Asked by Paul on 8th August 2021

It would fit yes - but probably a bit underpowered.  I'd look at say HW38010203 instead

Answered by: Ben @ Wheelspin Models

could you advise if this would be suitable as an upgrade to my fix outlaw brushed version currently. im looking for more power as I find it a Biot on the slow side. thanks
Asked by Oliver on 24th January 2022

With your car being off road, we would recommend the lower KV version ET0411  using 2s lipo  or ET0410 using 3s lipo

The 4350kv is for more on road and flat surfaces.

Answered by: Si @ Wheelspin Models

What size is the shaft please
Asked by Nicholas Baron on 29th April 2022

The motor shaft will be 3.2mm

Answered by: Si @ Wheelspin Models

Will this fit the ftx vantage and how do I know what my KV are on my batteries
Asked by Lewis on 28th June 2022

The KV rating is the motor,  so the motor  KV is 4350,   this means the motor will do 4350rpm for every 1 volt of power that it has, so if using a 7.4v 2s lipo   4350 x 7.2 = total RPM

Answered by: Si @ Wheelspin Models

Will this fit a ftx banzi ?
Asked by Charlie on 14th April 2023

Yes it will fit fine and run comfortably on 2s lipo.

Answered by: Steve @ Wheelspin Models

Hi, Would this be suitable and compatible with a Tamiya Mercedes C11 with 6 cell NiMh 7.2v? Would there be anything else required such as connectors or soldering?
Asked by Robert on 13th September 2023

This will work for you yes, the ESC may be a litte large to find space for in the chassis, you could look at HW38020319  but this will require soldering

Answered by: Si @ Wheelspin Models

Would this fit in the hpi m3 and would it be OK to rub 4s init? Thanks
Asked by Mark Knowles on 25th November 2023

This will fit the 1/10th touring car no problem, this system is a 2s only system so will not run 3 or 4s lipo.
