Black Horse Westland Wyvern 20cc ARTF

The original Black Horse Westland Wyvern is a big model for many and requires a good flying site to operate from. This new version is designed to provide the same thrill of flying something a bit different but using a more affordable engine size and more regular servos.

You still have that imposing Wyvern shape, dramatic colours and forgiving handling, just this time, it is in a more compact package that is a little more affordable and practical for many.

The real Wyvern only saw service in one main version, but Black Horse like to give you a choice and offer two sizes!

This smaller version has mechanical retracts with oleo struts operated by two retract servos of your choice. This keeps the wing panels independent and practical fro transport.

Like all Black Horse models, the structure is mixture of CNC cut balsa and ply covered in a durable, printed vinyl that is then lacquered for fuel and weather resistance. That huge cowl is hand crafted in glass fibre and then hand painted in matching colours. The quality of the glass work has to be seen to be believed. This combination of attention to detail ensures a scale shape combined with a low wing loading for the very best in airborne performance.

A full complement of weaponry is provided for hanging under the wings and certainly adds an aggressive streak to the Wyvern. No wonder she was feared adversary in the Suez campaign!
