This is my first 4 channel plane after flying an ares taylorcraft 130. Having as3x and safe is fantastic thankfully I haven't had to use safe as the plane is so easy to fly. Most definitely an ideal beginners plane as I have progressed to intermediate mode and have even had a fly in expert (all within one weekend) I have tested safe just to make sure it does what it is supposed to and it works perfectly. As3x has really surprised me with how great it tackles the wind and gives a really steady flight.

Yes you could use your DX6i if it has the DSMX logo.

Yes, if you put a Futaba receiver in it.

These use the mini E Flite type connector.
In terms of batteries, the stock EFLB1501S45 will usually give around 10 mins or so depending on your flying style. They are cheap and cheerful - so well worth taking a break after 10 mins to quickly swap over.
