I been told I can swap my 91T 48dp spur gear with this to open up my choices of pinion. Because there isn’t much choice on 48dp. Is this correct??

Yes that will be much stronger and you will have more choices.

No the granite mega is 48 pitch gears , you can opgrade to 0.8 mod but that is the slipper and whole shaft and motor mount so a big job.
