I'd say you need pl1179-10, watch the car in sand as it can cause damaged to the bearings etc if not maintained.

What speed will this do on 3s?

Out the box, top speed is around 40+ mph on 3S.
With optional gearing Traxxas quote 55 and 60+ mph
