Use the TRX recoil pull starter for racing applications where weight savings are critical. It is engineered for long-lasting, trouble free operation. It includes a heavy-duty spring and cord. Installation requires the starter backplate (#5274) and starter shaft (#5277) (EZ-Start® equipped motors already have these parts installed). If the engine was not originally equipped with a starter, then a different crankshaft is also required. Use Traxxas part 5219 (IPS) or 5221 (multi-shaft) crankshaft.
