Evergreen 14in (35cm) Strip .010x.020in (10 per pack), part number EVG100, is a pack of 10 white polystyrene strips for scale modelling and scratch-building. Each strip has a rectangular profile measuring .010in wide by .020in thick and is supplied in a 350mm (14in) length.
These strips can be used to create linear details such as structural bracing, trim and architectural mullions in scale models. The white polystyrene is suitable for railway modelling, wargaming, industrial design and architectural presentation work. Its consistent strip format provides material for both small details and longer runs.
Evergreen strip can be cut with a craft knife or scored and snapped, then sanded to create tapered profiles. It can also be heat-formed around subtle curves where the project requires a shaped detail. Liquid solvent cement can be used to bond the strip to other polystyrene components, forming a permanent joint. The opaque white surface can be painted with acrylics and used with weathering powders, with priming usually not required.
