Evergreen [5-255] 14-inch Square Tube .312 (5/16), part number EVG5-255, is a pack of 10 white polystyrene square tubes for scale model making. Each tube has a square profile with a nominal width of 7.9mm (.312in) and a length of 350mm (14in). The material and profile are suited to representing box sections, structural columns, chassis rails, architectural mullions and other framework in model projects.

The square tube can be cut, drilled and mitred for model construction, while the hollow centre can be used for internal routing or to accommodate thin reinforcing pieces. Evergreen tubing is dimensionally consistent, and smaller tube sizes can nest inside larger sizes where a telescoping arrangement is required. This makes the range suitable for sliding mechanisms, telescopic structures and reinforced sleeves, subject to the dimensions selected.

The white polystyrene surface provides a base for acrylic paint and weathering finishes, allowing the tube to represent materials such as steel, concrete or timber box sections.
