Eau de Nil epitomises the glamorous Art Deco era in England. Standardised in the 1930s, this colour was found extensively in high fashion, fine art, interior design and homewares. Literally translated as 'water of the Nile' this cool, calming shade of pale green was considered so relaxing to the eyes that it was used for the interiors of RAF aircraft and was commonly called Cockpit Green.
