Oxford Ochre Story
Oxford Ochre takes its name from the rich yellow earth pigment recorded by 17th-century Oxford professor Robert Plot, sourced from the Shotover Hills near Oxford. Its hardy, enduring colour has been favoured historically for both decorative work and fine art.

Easy to use with excellent coverage. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use. No priming or sealing required. Touch dry in under one hour; fully cured in 12–24 hours. Stir well before use. Clean brushes with warm, soapy water. Low odour, non-hazardous and non-toxic, with the lowest possible VOC eco rating.

Oxford Ochre was named after the earth pigment described by the 17th century naturalist and Oxford professor, Robert Plot. He identified the source of the best yellow ochre of its kind as being located at the Shotover Hills, near Oxford. Its rich colour and hardy nature made it popular for many decorative purposes from painting houses to fine artwork.
