Hobbytech CRX18 Flat Cage 6wd BLUE

The Hobbytech CRX18 Flat Cage 6WD Blue brings six-wheel drive capability to the much-loved CRX18 platform, adding a flat cage rear deck with a roll cage and spare wheel for authentic scale presence. This 1/18 scale model retains the spirit of the full-size CRX with a detailed body and included accessories, while extending control and traction with two additional driven wheels. Built like a larger crawler, the CRX18 features a metal beam chassis and a centrally mounted transmission box positioned slightly forward. A low-mounted 55T carbon micro motor helps keep the centre of gravity down, and each axle is linked to the chassis by a 4-link setup. Steering is handled by a 3-wire micro servo mounted on the front axle using an AMS mount for precise control.

An all-in-one electronics module combines receiver and ESC, providing nine sockets to support a complete lighting system with turn signals and brake lights. Out of the box, two LED headlights are fitted and can be controlled from the radio. Power comes from a 2S 600 mAh battery that allows for several hours of driving, and the supplied transmitter lets you set throttle and steering end points to fine-tune response to terrain and obstacles.

Aesthetically, the CRX18 mirrors its big brother with the same grille and scale accessories such as a jerry can, snorkel, wipers and mirrors. The tyres replicate the well-regarded Climbers pattern, delivering impressive grip on rocks and technical terrain. Thoughtful touches include slotted footboards that locate the body to help protect it from damage. Many options are planned to enhance performance and appearance, including ball bearings and hydraulic shock absorbers. Compact yet capable, the CRX18 6WD flat cage can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors and performs confidently in both small and large spaces.
