Hobbytech CRX18 Orange

The Hobbytech CRX18 Orange brings the character of the larger CRX to a compact 1/18 scale platform. Built around a metal beam chassis with a slightly forward central gearbox and a low-mounted motor, it mirrors the proven layout of its 1/10 counterpart. Each axle is linked to the chassis by four links, while a micro 3‑wire steering servo with a standard plug sits on the foredeck in an AMS assembly to help lower the centre of gravity.

Electronics are handled by an all‑in‑one module (receiver/ESC) featuring nine sockets, allowing connection of a complete lighting system with indicators and brake lights. Out of the box, the CRX18 includes two LED headlights that can be controlled from the radio. Power comes from a micro brushed 55T motor and a 2S 600 mAh battery, providing several hours of driving, whether indoors or outdoors. The bodywork faithfully echoes the CRX, complete with grille and scale accessories such as a jerrican, snorkel, wipers and mirrors. The axles share the same design as those fitted to the CRX2, and the tyres are an exact reproduction of the CRX tread.

Practical touches include running boards with a slot that houses the lower bodywork to help protect it over obstacles. The radio allows adjustment of limit switches (speed and direction), and throttle settings let you fine‑tune control to suit terrain and obstacles. Many options are available to tailor performance and appearance, including ball bearings and hydraulic shock absorbers.
