The JConcepts Aluminium Battery Hold & Swing Set (Black), part SCH-JC5195-2, delivers a simple, adjustable, swing-operated battery retainer for the RC10B7 platform. The aluminium components bolt to the chassis side guards and function like the stock plastic parts, offering added durability and a tidy, factory look.

Height can be tuned for different pack sizes: use the tall stand-offs for taller batteries or the short stand-offs for low-profile packs. Two different length BHCS screws are supplied to match the chosen stand-off, and the stock kit O-rings should be re-used to provide cushioning and vibration resistance. For further fine-tuning of clamping force, 3 mm I.D. washers may be used to achieve the desired battery hold height.

The JConcepts swing operated battery retainer is designed for simplicity, adjustability, and quick battery changes. The aluminum rails bolt to the standard RC10B7 | RC10B7D | RC10T7 | RC10SC7 chassis side guards and functions like the stock plastic components. The aluminum swings include hardware for installation and spacers for height adjustment depending on which battery type is used in the vehicle.

When using a tall battery pack, it’s necessary to install the tall stand-offs under the swing part to raise the height of the entire assembly. For the low-profile battery pack, install the short stand-offs to outfit the configuration to adapt to the required height. Two different length BHCS screws are included and should be used in conjunction with the corresponding stand-off. It is also necessary to use the stock O-rings from the kit parts to provide the cushion and vibration resistance.

Some individual preference might be different and by using any assortment of 3mm I.D. washers, a wide range of height adjustments can be achieved to hold battery at desired force.
