I'm no electronics expert but the photo looks like a male Tamiya to a male EC3 and not a female EC3
I'm looking for the male to male? can you confirm which this is and sorry if I'm mistaken.

It depends on your definition of male/female on EC3 - we'd call this female based on the pins.
