Mission Models Gloss White Base for Chrome (1oz), part number MMPGWB002, is designed to maximise the reflective effect of Mission Models Chrome, Brass and Gold finishes. It can be sprayed straight from the bottle, or thinned if preferred. The smoother and glossier the white base is applied, the more convincing the mirror-like result will be; using a white base produces a brighter finish than a gloss black base.
Application of these metal finishes requires a slightly different technique from standard Mission Models paints. For additional guidance and best practices, please refer to the FAQ section on missionmodelsus.com. The companion MMP Chrome uses finely processed 6061 aluminium and is highly durable when dry.

Although they can be thinned to meet your needs, there is no need as they can be used straight from the bottle. The MMP Gloss Black Base is what allows the chrome to "reflect" like a mirror. The smoother and glossier the Gloss Black or Gloss White base is applied, the better the effect will be.
