The Reedy Sonic 540 M4 Brushless Motor 9.5T Modified (AS27438) brings competition-proven performance to the 1:10 modified class. Building on the linear powerband and strong mid-range feel of the outgoing M3, the M4 refines efficiency, smoothness, and weight balance for improved on-track consistency.

A key internal update moves the inner bearing from the sensor assembly into the can. This more accurately aligns the rotor within the magnetic field, reducing noise and vibration for a cleaner, more precise delivery. Externally, a shortened can centralises mass in the chassis and helps trim 5–10 g compared with the previous design, contributing to sharper handling.

Engineered for reliability at high RPM, the Sonic 540 M4 pairs a balanced, high-strength rotor with precision stainless steel ball bearings for fade-free performance. Adjustable timing, low-resistance solder tabs and optimised cooling support fine tuning and stable temperatures across a wide range of track conditions. The motor is built to ROAR/EFRA/IFMAR specifications and is completely rebuildable, with optional rotors available to tailor feel and response.
