Rival MT10 review

So, The Rival MT10! 

A lot of hype has surrounded this RC truck and we now understand why. With a mid range price point the Rival offer fantastic performance and great relability, all in a 1/10 monster truck package... whats not to like! 

its Tough!

what battery should I use? 

I use a 2s and 3s on this model, 2s seems to offer better run time but less performnce whilst 3s gives less run time but better performnce. Overall I would say that I prefer running 2s as its still nippy and in my opinion its easy to drive and you are less likley to do huge jumps that could result in breaking chassis components. Remember, NO RC car is unbreakable!

How capable is it?

In short, very! It can go fast even on really rough terrain, we run our cars up cannock chase mainly and it can be very rough in places but the Rival soaks it all up and runs well! 

Does it jump well?

It does, particularly when running on 3s lipo! On 2s it's a little more tricky and it does not have the power needed to balance the truck in the air so its a bit more " hit and hope" But either way its always fun to get air time with your RC car, Just remeber to let of the power when its about to land to avoid damging the spur gear and diffs!.

Would you reccomend one? 

100% yes, in terms of value for money you really can't go wrong. Its great fun and durable for a really good price. All of the spares are available and there are plenty of upgrades too!
