The FMS Ranger 1220mm With Reflex System + Floats - RTF (FMS111RF-REF) brings stable handling, quick assembly and versatile operation to FMS’s multi‑purpose high‑wing line-up. Built from ultralight, durable EPO foam and finished in a high‑visibility yellow and white scheme, the Ranger delivers confident orientation and predictable flight characteristics for a wide range of pilots.

A large, high‑wing airframe gives low wing loading and excellent lift at slow speeds, while robust plastic wing struts enhance strength for energetic manoeuvres. Ground handling is straightforward thanks to FMS’s patented high‑strength tricycle landing gear, and the included floats with integrated rudder open up water take-offs and landings for even more flying opportunities.

Power comes from a dependable 3136/1200KV outrunner motor paired with a Predator 20A ESC, providing punchy performance with near‑vertical climb on demand. Assembly is refreshingly simple: the screw‑together and twist‑lock design means you can be flight‑ready in minutes—around six screws for the wheeled gear or ten with the floats.

Also included is the FMS Reflex System, a free 6‑axis flight control module that offers electronic stabilisation while preserving a natural, connected feel. Combined with the efficient 10x5 two‑blade propeller and recommended 3S 1300mAh pack, the Ranger is engineered for practical, enjoyable everyday flying.

As the newest member of the FMS multi-purpose aircraft lineup, the 1220mm Ranger retains all of the fantastic features that pilots have come to expect from FMS- stable flight characteristics, easy to assemble airframe and realistic, general-aviation inspired design.

Built with ultralight EPO foam, the large, high-winged airframe configuration gives the Ranger low wing-loading and extraordinary amounts of lift, even at slow speeds. Robust plastic struts give extra strength to the wings during aerobatic maneuvers and the patented high-strength tricycle landing gear makes ground handling a breeze.

A great aircraft is nothing without a great, dependable power system and FMS has equipped the Ranger with a 3136/1200KV outrunner motor with 20A Predator ESC, which allows the Ranger to climb almost vertically on demand! In the box, the Ranger comes with two sets of landing gears- a high-strength metal landing gear for ground operations and a pair of floats with an integrated rudder for water operations. Designed with a yellow and white high-visibility color scheme, the Ranger can always be easily orientated even in gloomy, overcast weather.

Like the Super-EZ and the Kingfisher, the Ranger is designed with ease of assembly in mind. Requiring only 6 (wheeled landing gear) or 10 (floats) screws to completely assemble, the longest wait time is the time it takes to charge the battery!

Also included FREE is FMS’s new Reflex System - an advanced flight control module designed to provide electronic stabilization while retaining natural flight characteristics.

I’ve opened up a kit, it’s a stand alone gyro unit,

The RTF comes with a TX and RX, the reflex unit is not fitted, but in a small box with a separate manual.
