XRay Aluminium Chassis 3mm - Swiss 7075 T6

The XRay Aluminium Chassis 3mm – Swiss 7075 T6 (part number XR331108) is a precision CNC-machined upgrade designed to enhance cornering performance and stability. A revised layout accommodates the new 2-speed layshaft rear bulkheads within the chassis for more precise placement, while two additional motor-mount holes provide improved chassis flex characteristics. The very narrow profile increases chassis flex to generate more traction and steering, reduces chassis scrub in tight turns, and helps prevent the car from ‘stopping’ mid-corner.

Engineered from premium Swiss 7075-T6 aluminium, the chassis is strategically pocketed in low-stress zones to minimise weight without compromising strength or rigidity. Under-engine air-flow cut-outs promote extra cooling, and the outer edges are bevelled with countersunk screw holes to deliver a smooth, low-drag underside.
