Description
For precise 1/10 off-road setup, the JConcepts Aluminium Ride Height Gauge 10–40mm (Black), part number SCH-JC2282-2, delivers accurate, repeatable measurements. It is precision machined from billet aluminium, finished in black anodising with chamfered silver edging, and uses a rounded contact boss to meet the chassis at the correct angle. The laser-etched scale spans 10–40 mm and the gauge arrives pre-assembled with 4 mm pivot hardware plus 3 mm setscrew and thumbscrew.
Each gauge is supplied in a protective latch box with a foam insert for secure storage and transport.
Key Features

- Laser etched graduated measurements

How It Works
Place the base on a flat setup board, swing the pivoting arm to touch the underside of the chassis, then lock the thumbscrew and read the etched marking. To set ride height, dial the thumbscrew to the preferred value and adjust your shock collars until the suspension meets the gauge; many racers leave a very small clearance for a final check.

Specifications
The ride height gauge comes preassembled with 4mm hardware for the pivot and 3mm setscrew and thumbscrew as the setting knob. The structure features chamfered silver edging, highlighting the design. The touch-off point on the gauge is a rounded boss and always meets the chassis at the proper angle. Each gauge comes in a latch box with foam insert which fits snugly around the instrument with heavy cushion. When racing gets serious, get precise with JConcepts.
Every setup sheet contains ride height information and the only way to achieve it properly is with a trusty gauge. The ride height gauge simply operates with 2 pivoting pieces. Checking the ride height is done by placing the base against a setting board or flat surface. The user operates the pivoting arm freely to touch off against the bottom of the vehicle chassis. At the touch point, secure the thumb screw on the gauge and check the etched marking.
To set the ride height, secure the thumbscrew on the etched number which is preferred. Place the gauge underneath the vehicle (front and rear) at the predetermined height and touch the suspension to the gauge. If a gap exists, raise shock collars to lower the ride height until it's matched to the gauge. If no gap exists or the spacing is too tight, lower the shock collars to raise the ride height to the desired amount. Most racers like a half millimeter space or a small feeling of space during a final check.
