B-26G Marauder - WWII American/French Bomber

The ICM B-26G Marauder – WWII American/French Bomber (HC-ICM48323) is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the final Marauder variant. It reproduces the later B-26G modifications with refined accuracy and detail, including a carefully rendered cockpit and internal fuselage equipment. With decals for both U.S. and French Air Forces, this kit provides historically interesting marking choices alongside high-quality mouldings.

The real B-26G was produced by the Glenn L. Martin Co. in Middle River, Maryland, and introduced a wing angle increased by 3.5 degrees to improve takeoff and landing handling. Internal fuel capacity was raised, a venting mast was added on the fuselage spine, and equipment was standardised to meet both Army and Navy requirements. A larger life raft and a modified hatch were also incorporated. A total of 893 B-26G bombers were built, serving with U.S. Army Air Force groups in Europe and with the French Air Force ("Free French"), which operated the type in Italy, southern France and beyond, with final missions flown in April 1945.
