Engineered for precision, durability and power-handling, it introduces enhanced tuning and data tools for a more predictable, drivetrain-friendly driving experience across 1/7th and 1/5th scale applications.
Building on the COBRA 10 and COBRA 8 platform, the COBRA 5 adds adjustable braking curves and independent reverse settings to reduce stress on gears, shafts and differentials while delivering smoother transitions. Enhanced data logging doubles the sampling rate of previous generations, extends logging time, and adds looping so valuable information isn’t lost. New data points, including ESC electrical motor timing and acceleration from the onboard accelerometer, help identify tyre slip and fine-tune efficiency. Hardware upgrades include improved current sensing and thermal protection, a rugged CNC aluminium case potted in waterproof epoxy, a premium forged heatsink with elliptical fins, and an oversized thermally controlled 50mm fan—all within the same footprint as the Mamba XLX2.
