ICM CH-54A Tarhe with Universal Military Pod 1:35 Kit

The ICM CH-54A Tarhe with Universal Military Pod (HC-ICM53057) is a 1:35 scale plastic model kit of the Sikorsky heavy-lift helicopter configured with its universal military carry pod. It combines finely moulded parts with a faithful representation of the transport container for an authentic, display-ready build.

Created in 1962, the CH-54 Tarhe was designed to move oversized military cargo using powerful crane winches capable of lifting loads while hovering, removing the need to land. It saw extensive use in Vietnam, evacuating damaged aircraft and helicopters and transporting artillery, vehicles, tanks and even patrol boats on external suspension.

To expand its capability, a special container was developed—a transport capsule for personnel, casualties or equipment. Featuring windows, doors and a stern ramp, it enabled the carriage of guns or light vehicles inside and could even support parachute deployment. A total of 22 containers were built, each with its own military registration number.
