I'm very sorry but they only list this item as the complete set.
I'm afraid we just don't know sorry! It's not something we've ever tried and as we no longer have those models in stock, not something we can really advise on.
ECX don't make a metal spur gear.
Regardless or weight/power, you shouldn't be stripping spur gears in a well setup, well driven car. Landing hard on power on jumps, for example will always put undue stress on the drivetrain.
Yes ECX9001 will work in the ECX Circuit 2wd.
