Description
The Spektrum Firma 250A Brushless Smart ESC - 6S-12S: Dual IC5, part number SPMXSE2250, is a brushless electronic speed control for 1/5 scale surface vehicles. It is designed for models powered by 6S to 12S LiPo batteries and combines motor control with Smart telemetry in one unit.
Using a single telemetry wire, the ESC can send operating information to a compatible Spektrum transmitter in real time. Available data may include motor RPM, battery voltage, temperature, capacity and speed, while a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery can provide further battery information such as charge percentage, cycle count and individual cell voltage. Telemetry functions depend on the radio equipment and compatibility used.
The ESC has dual IC5 battery connectors and is also compatible with EC5 plugs for basic operation and ESC telemetry. Its waterproof design is intended for use across varied outdoor conditions, including dust, gravel, snow and water. The case includes mounting tabs, an aluminium heat sink and a cooling fan.
Features
Settings can be adjusted using the built-in button programming, a Spektrum Smart ESC Programming Box or the SmartLink USB updating and PC programmer application. Firmware can also be updated through the Smart ESC Programming Box. A 32-bit ARM M4 processor manages signal input and motor output, while protection functions monitor the system during operation.

The IC series of connectors are designed from the ground up to provide a more solid connection, higher heat resistance, and effortless installation. When used with an IC5 connector-equipped Spektrum Smart battery, the ESC can receive and transmit battery telemetry dat'a. EC5 plugs are also compatible with IC5 plugs for basic operation and ESC telemetry.

When used with a Spektrum™ Smart LiPo battery, your Firma™ ESC provides battery telemetry that's automatically transmitted to your compatible Spektrum radio in real-time. On your transmitter screen, you'll be presented with helpful information such as the number of cycles, battery percentage, individual cell voltage, and more!
Multiple programming options are available. Button programming can be used with nothing more needed. Using the Smart Firma™ ESC Programming Box, you can easily change settings at the track to suit driving conditions. An easy-to-use Smart Link USB Updating and PC Programmer app is also available.
The Firma™ ESCs' 32-bit M4 processor produces higher resolution signal input and more accurate motor output.
