Would this charge an Okoman 7.2V 8000mAh NiMh Stick Pack but take longer due to the charge rate of 5A? Do you know how long roughly?

I am going to getting an FTX Kanyon which has a Ni-MH battery and an FTX Outback Mini 2 which uses a different style connector will this charger work for them both or is there an alternative you can recommend?
Garry Clark / 6th April 2020

This will work with the NiMh batteries in the Kanyon, but not the LiPo in the mini

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I am looking for a recommendation on a suitable battery charger for our Tamiya Hornet NiMH batteries. Originally purchased an Overlander NX-20 charger, but this literally went up in smoke on second use. You have lots on offer, would Fusion NX86 be a good choice? Thanks.
David Butcher / 7th March 2019

Yes, this should be fine with the 7.2v NiMH batteries you'll be using in your Hornet :-)

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Steve / 25th January 2019

Yes, that would work fine with a 5000mah NiMh battery

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Ive got a 3500 battery with a tamiya plug, how long will this take to charge and on what setting? Thanks

So we'd charge that at 3.5A and it will take around 45-50 mins to charge.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi could you tell me if this charger would charge the FTX Outback Mini 220Mah 4.8V Nimh Battery? Thanks

Yes, it'll charge it no problem - but you would need an adapter such as DYNC0070

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

1.2 Amp charge rate

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

Hi, Can the Fusion NX86 AC/DC NiMH Charger (Part Number: O-FS-NX86) be used for long overnight charges? If so, does it have a fan that would disturb you? Thanks, James
James / 30th March 2018

This is a fast charger, and once charged it will switch to trickle charge.  As with any charger however, we wouldn't recommend leaving it unattended.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
hi im a bit of a newbie with rc cars, how do i determine which charger will charge fastest ? how long would this charger take to charge a 5000mah deans battery ? thanks
Jon / 2nd October 2017

On a NiMh battery you wouldn't want to charge at more than 1C (so say 5 Amps for your 5000mah battery).

This charger can charge at 5 Amps maximum, so would take around 45-60 mins to fully charge your 5000mah battery.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Does the part number: O-FS-NX86 charger work for Tamiya connector 3300 nimh batteries as my son has a FTX Carange and it has a different charger as the one advertised for the FTX Vantage
Claire Stephens / 20th September 2017

Yes this comes with the Tamiya style connector and will work fine with the FTX batteries.

Anthony @ Wheelspin Models

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I have purchased this charger however wasn't quite sure whether how many amps I should charge my battery at . I have a 7.2v 1800mah battery.

We'd recommend no more than 2 Amps for your 1800mah battery.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I am going to purchase this battery however I was wondering the difference this was between the Euro version as there are two of these chargers. What one shall I buy? Confused why one is a Euro when it looks the same
Aman / 16th August 2017

The Euro version has a euro plug.

You will want the normal version if you are in the UK.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models

If your battery has a Tamiya connector it will plug directly into this charger.

It would take around 45 mins to charge an 1800 battery at the 2 Amp setting.
