Description
The XRay Gear Center Differential - Lightweight - Set, part XR364904-L, is a lightweight gear differential for the centre position of an RC drivetrain. It is recommended for clay, bumpy Astro and low-traction tracks, where its design is intended to increase traction.
This central differential uses the same universal differential case and internal parts as the front and rear differentials. Its maintenance-free gear design has increased internal oil volume, helping to provide consistent differential action. The composite case and cover contain internal satellite gears precision-moulded from XRAY-developed graphite composite material, combining low weight with smooth and efficient operation.
Lightweight differential outdrives reduce rotational mass through the drivetrain. This can improve acceleration, braking and drivetrain efficiency by reducing the mass that the motor and drivetrain need to turn. The differential is supplied with a 75T spur gear for use with a low centre mount. The smaller spur gear also helps reduce the centre of gravity and rotating mass.
