Gotha Go 244B-2 - WWII German Transport Aircraft

The ICM Gotha Go 244B-2 (HC-ICM48224) is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the WWII German medium transport aircraft developed from the Go 242 glider. The real Go 244 introduced twin engines mounted ahead of the tail booms, internal fuel tanks and a fully equipped cockpit. Often powered by captured French Gnome-Rhône 14M engines and armed with MG 15 or MG 81Z 7.9 mm machine guns, the type served with Luftwaffe transport units in Greece and elsewhere, later seeing use in flight schools and training centres. The B-2 variant was based on the Go 242B-2 airframe and featured an original landing gear with oil shock absorbers.

This ICM kit focuses on finely rendered surface detail and interior features, including the pilot’s instrument panel, crew fittings and defensive stations. Decals are provided for two historically themed marking options. Precision-moulded sprues and clear assembly instructions support an accurate, rewarding build for 1/48 aircraft modellers.
