This little tipper is fantastic, however the descriptions have confused people throughout the net, it is actually plastic almost throughout, however the top/edge protector parts of the dump bed are alloy which is handy if rocks land on them! The lift mechanism is metal geared but other plastic components which makes for quite a strong lift, I'm not sure on the drive axles but I suspect they might be metal too, there is quite a weight (steel) inside the cab which makes the back end light when unloaded, so it does need some persuasion by an excavator on occasion - part of the fun! Its got plenty of torque and looks great and its great value, one thing though as with all Huina products so far they suffer from production line problems, the main one is wiring being squashed between screws or parts, I found the rear lights and tipper motor wiring was but a quick reroute has saved it future damage. Great service from Wheelspin Models too, highly recommended!
