The ICM I-16 Type 10 in 1:32 scale (HC-ICM32004) recreates one of the first monoplane fighter aircraft with retractable landing gear, developed by the N.N. Polikarpov Design Bureau. The Type 10 variant, produced from 1937 to 1939 with an M-25 engine and four machine guns, saw extensive service from Khalkhin Gol and the Soviet-Finnish War to the opening months of the Soviet-German Front in 1941. A total of 934 Type 10 aircraft were manufactured.

One of the first monoplane fighter aircraft with retractable landing gear was the I-16, developed in the N.N. Polikarpov Design Bureau. The maiden flight was on December 30th, 1934. The “type 10” modification with four machine gun armament and M-25 engine was in production from 1937 to 1939. Some 934 I-16 type 10 planes were manufactured. These fighters took part in the Khalkhin Gol conflict and the Soviet-Finnish war. In the summer of 1941, I-16 fighters were the basis of Soviet Fighter Aviation and participated in air battles on all sectors of the Soviet-German Front.
