I-16 Type 17 - WWII Soviet Fighter Plane

The ICM I-16 Type 17 is a 1:32 scale plastic model kit of the landmark Polikarpov monoplane fighter. The real I-16 was among the first fighters to feature retractable landing gear. The Type 17 variant, armed with two ShVAK cannons and two ShKAS machine guns and powered by the M-25 engine, was produced from 1937 to 1939 with 341 aircraft built. These aircraft saw action at Khalkhin Gol and during the Soviet–Finnish War, and in 1941 they formed the backbone of Soviet fighter forces across the Soviet–German Front.

This ICM kit (part HC-ICM32005) delivers an accurate copy with crisp moulding, highly detailed sprues and a well-appointed cockpit and chassis.
