Italeri AS 42 Sahariana 1:72 Model Kit

The Italeri AS 42 Sahariana in 1:72 scale recreates the Italian Royal Army’s specialised desert reconnaissance vehicle, the Camionetta Desertica Modello 42. Developed on the chassis and mechanics of the AB 41 armoured car, the Sahariana was tailored to the harsh conditions of the African theatre, combining a low profile with large wheels for effective travel across sand.

Designed for reconnaissance and fast raids, the Sahariana offered good operational range for long-distance patrols. On the real vehicle, armament varied by configuration and could include the Breda 20/65 mod 1935 machine gun, the 47/32 anti-tank gun, or the 20 mm Solothurn anti-tank rifle.
