That’s a lot to ask from one vehicle, but Ford has been America’s best-selling pick-up for years and they don’t appear to be slowing down. There’s a lot to look forward to in a new vintage release from JConcepts, however, the 1990 Ford F-Series Pickup is special.

The 1990 Ford body built and fit for the Mini LMT RC Monster Truck lovers offers first class styling and its exterior is accentuated with a smooth front bumper. The must-have body of the late 80’s and early 90’s was featured on several of the most popular full- size Monster trucks during this generation and always proved to be popular among the Ford enthusiasts and always wreaked havoc on the competition.

The 1990 F-Series carries over the same body style as the previous generation but sports a new rounded front clip that improves vehicle aerodynamics over its predecessors. The softened body lines around the rear of the bed and large fender arches around the wheel wells provide the scale monster truck look. The bed area has been left completely flat which can be detailed, painted, or incorporated into a drape over the bed, with a variety of ways to finish off a scale project. A popular add-on during the “good ole days” of Monster Truck racing is the fastback which was form fit to the rear of the cab and slung perfectly around the rear window. JConcepts has included this accessory as an attachable piece giving the 1990 body maximum era correct potential.

This combination is intended to be used without the standard cage fitted to the traditional chassis layout. Instead, install the included body mounts on the chassis and use the appropriate angled style mount to the front and parallel mount to the rear. Adjust the height front and rear to personal liking and install the body clips as a traditional body. Body clip leashes are also included to help keep the clips in order, these can be installed to user preference and position of choice. Several different height and angled mounts are included for future projects and releases to accommodate an assortment of MT body shells.
